Research Policy

 

Bhai Kishanrao Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya College Chakurconstitutes a research committee every year to formulate research policy on all research-related matters and sets the aims and objectives of research policy. It establishedan Intellectual Property Rights Cell in the college to conduct different activities for students and teachers on 01.01.2024 to create a conducive environment for Intellectual Property on campus.

Aims and objectives:

  • To promote research work among all faculty members.
  • To inculcate research understanding among faculty and students.
  • To provide infrastructural facilities and support for research activities.
  • To review the research work done by the faculties and students.
  • To create awareness of IPR among faculty and students of the college.
  • To inculcate the basic concepts among students and faculty
  • To assist research scholars

Research Policy

  1. Teachers will be encouraged to participate in national and internationalseminars, conferences, and workshops.
  2. The institution will grantduty leave for the same.
  3. Information regarding such events will be circulated among teachers.
  4. The institution will encourage teachers to acquirePh. D.sin their respective subjects.
  5. Teachers awarded with Ph.D. are felicitated by the college.
  6. D. holder teachers are provided increments as per the University and government norms.
  7. Teachers are encouraged to publish research papers in reputed national and international journals.
  8. Teachers are suggested to refer UGC website for an updated list of journals and publish their papers.
  9. Teachers are encouraged for the maximum use of ICT in research work.
  10. Teachers are encouragedfor Minor and Major research projects.
  11. Teachers encourage students for projects, surveys, and fieldwork.
  12. The institution is bound to provide teachers and students with some infrastructural facilities like a library, computer, internet, reading room, printer, xerox,etc. for research purposes.
  13. Researchers are provided a list of reputed journals as per their requirements.
  14. Teachers and research scholars are provided a list of free online journals and resources by the library.
  15. Research scholars are encouraged to participate in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops and present papers.

 

The following procedures are followed by teachers and students.

 

  1. The Institution organizes national-level seminars, conferences, and workshops, short-term courses for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  2. It is mandatory for all teachers to submit a copy of the paper to the research committee every year.
  3. Teachers are asked to providethe details of their research work to the research committee. For example title of the paper, ISBN Number, Impact factor, detail of publication, date and year of publication, whether they are the principal author or second author etc.
  4. They are also asked to submit a copy of their participation certificates to claim the Duty leave.
  5. Research guides maintain the files of research scholars.
  6. Teachers encourage students to actively participate in seminars, conferences and workshops etc.
  7. Researchers are encouraged to follow professional ethics and code of conduct.
  8. Students are encouraged for seminar presentations, projects, surveys, and fieldwork.
  9. It is mandatory for all teachers to their self-appraisal report (PBAS) to IQAC at the end of the academic year.
  10. The Institution provides support for creating a conducive atmosphere for research by providing administrative, academic, and infrastructure assistance.
