It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to our college website. The president of Lokayat education society Ahmedpur judiciously understood the need of higher education of the people who are socially and economically backward. Hon. Bhai Kishanrao Deshmukh(Ex. minister, Maharashtra state.) established this college in 1990 with a view of providing higher education to rural masses. Since its inception it has come a long way establishing itself as a credible torchbearer of educational movement in the draught prone, rural and backward region. In spite of all kinds of teething trouble in its chequered history of 25 years, the college has made significant contribution in providing higher education to socially, economically and educationally backward masses, under the stewardship of our president.
This college is a cynosure of all eyes in this region. It would rather act as catalyst for the upliftment of socially disadvantaged people. We have taken up this lofty task with a sense of dedication. Today, the college claims to be a well known centre of higher education with a good number of subjects including Career Oriented Courses to choose in the faculties of Arts and College. Every year more than 500 students enrol in our college for Arts and Commerce faculty. Our teaching and non-teaching staff is very active, efficient and dedicated. We have 25 teaching staff and 15 non-teaching staff who perform their work sincerely.
Today I am very proud to say that this college received “B” grade with CGPA – 2.63 by NAAC Bangalore for the second cycle. We also run Career Oriented Courses Successfully in order to make the students punctual and competent.
Today this college is supposed to be an oasis in the educationally backward region. In spite of financial constraints, we are stepping towards progress. The college always motivates the students and teachers to achieve their goals with a purity of heart, sincere efforts and commitment to work.
